Palo Santo Stick — Sacred Cleansing Wood

$3.00
Regular price $3.00

The sacred wood that smells like the inside of an old cathedral and a citrus grove at the same time. Our Palo Santo Stick is a single, hand-selected piece of holy wood sourced from Peru — the kind of small, sacred object you keep on your nightstand, in your ritual case, or beside your altar. Light it before bed. Light it when you walk in the door. Light it when the day asks for something more than a deep breath.

Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens) — Spanish for "holy wood" — has been used by Indigenous peoples of South America for centuries to cleanse energy, invite calm, and mark sacred moments. Its smoke is soft, sweet, and grounding — less herbaceous than white sage, more warm-resin and citrus — and one stick goes a surprisingly long way. Each piece can be lit, extinguished, and relit dozens of times before it burns down.

What Palo Santo Is For

  • Energy cleansing your home, bedroom, or sacred space
  • Daily ritual — light it the way some people light a candle
  • Calming the nervous system before meditation, yoga, or sleep
  • Resetting a room after a hard conversation, a long day, or hosting
  • A gentler alternative to white sage — softer scent, lighter smoke, more inviting
  • Setting intentions during new moon, full moon, or seasonal shifts
  • Pairing with crystals, breathwork, journaling, or prayer

Why Palo Santo (vs. Sage)

Where white sage is bright, herbaceous, and clearing, palo santo is warm, sweet, and inviting. Many people find sage too intense for daily use and reach for palo santo instead — it's gentler, the smoke is lighter, and the scent lingers in a way that feels cozy rather than ceremonial. Palo santo is also one of the few cleansing tools where the practice is both clearing out and calling in — traditionally believed to invite positive energy as much as it releases stagnant energy.

A Note on Sourcing & Respect

Our Palo Santo is sourced from Peru using sustainable practices — only naturally fallen wood that has been left to age and develop its signature aromatic resin (4+ years on the forest floor). No live trees harvested. We also encourage you to use it with awareness of its sacred Indigenous origins. Light it slowly. Use it intentionally. Honor the practice that gave it to us.

How to Use Palo Santo

  1. Hold the stick at a 45-degree angle and light the tip with a match or candle.
  2. Let the flame catch for 30–60 seconds, then gently blow it out so the wood is smoldering.
  3. Walk the smoke through your space — corners, doorways, mirrors, anywhere energy gathers.
  4. Set an intention for what you're releasing and what you're inviting in.
  5. To extinguish, press the lit end into a fireproof bowl, sand, or shell. Save it — your stick can be relit again and again until it slowly burns down.

Specs

  • One (1) palo santo stick
  • Material: 100% naturally fallen palo santo wood (Bursera graveolens)
  • Origin: Peru
  • Each stick is hand-selected — size, shape, and grain may vary slightly from piece to piece. Yours will be one of one.
  • Sustainably and ethically sourced

Care & Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or moisture to preserve the aromatic resin. Always burn over a fireproof surface and ensure the stick is fully extinguished after use.

Light it slowly. Let it work. A single stick of one of the oldest, gentlest cleansing rituals in the world — ready when you are.
